The Krakenborn make little use of Terminator warplate. When the legion was forcibly dissolved and disarmed after their war against the Luna Wolves, they were stripped of many of their suits of the heavy armour, and what few units remain are issued only in times of greatest need. Though bulky, the Tartaros-pattern suits in their possession allow the warrior to maintain her speed and lethality, protecting her from all but the worst of battlefield threats. Such a lack of resources would make a First Company elite difficult to maintain, so instead any Warqueen may claim the use of the armour for her warriors. Upon her return to the Crag, the armour is returned, wiped clean of it's wearer's honour markings, and stored for use in the next conflict.
These warriors hail from Clann an Fuamhare, who boast of being the greatest hunters on Manawyddan. They wield mauls modelled on traditional Krakenhammers, used to crush the bony shells of the great leviathans that make their home in the waters of that planet's vast oceans.
